Esotericism is an extensive system of knowledge, which includes many separate spiritual, religious, psychological and scientific areas.

Therefore, well-known esotericists are often outstanding figures in literature, psychology, medicine, philosophy, exact sciences and other fields of activity. This list includes famous authors of esoteric teachings, founders of unions and magicians who developed esoteric knowledge in the 20th century.

Samuel Liddell "MacGregor" Mathers

This English magician is considered one of the most influential and famous occultists of the 19th-20th centuries. He was a member of the Rosicrucian Order, practiced tarology. Mathers is better known as the founder of the Golden Dawn, one of the hermetic orders, some of the "branches" of which still exist today.

It is known that MacGregor was a member of the Hengist Masonic lodge, to which he was brought by an associate in alchemical hobbies, Frederick Holland. In the lodge, Mathers reached the degree of Master, but left it to join the Rosicrucian Society of England.

In esotericism, Samuel Liddell Mathers played the role not of an explorer, but of a missionary. He did not carry out public statements and actions related to magic, but evidence of his magical practice has been preserved. So, for example, Aleister Crowley claims in his memoirs that MacGregor played chess with the pagan gods, making moves for them.

Franz Bardon

Franz Bardon is the most famous Polish esotericist, one of the most influential occultists in Eastern Europe. Bardon was a staunch Hermeticist, developing the ideas of higher beings and the Platonic "world of ideas". According to the latter, the physical, astral and mental worlds are formed from the properties of the four primary elements: water, fire, air and earth.

Bardon referred to the worlds as "plans". The higher, mental plane is the eternal and real ego of man. The astral plane holds the archetypes of the physical plane. The latter is the reality around us.

These worlds, according to Bardon, form a matrix, and a person is simultaneously present in all worlds, more precisely, the bodies corresponding to them. Death comes when the relationship between any of these plans is lost.

The esoteric views of Franz Bardon argue that the uniqueness of a person is determined by these four elements, as well as the Divine element akasha embedded in him. Therefore, Bardon's teaching encourages a person to overcome his own shortcomings and strive to establish an elemental balance.

Fulcanelli

This is the legendary alchemist of the twentieth century, whose identity could not be established. This man, about whom there are many legends in esoteric circles, conducted his activities in Paris. Eugene Cansellier, who is the main source of knowledge about Fulcanelli, claims that he was born in 1839, but was last seen around Seville in 1953.

In his own words, Canselier was a student of Fulcanelli in the 1920s, who then looked, in keeping with his supposed age, like a very old man. But at the time of the meeting in 1953, the teacher allegedly looked much younger.

Geneviève Dubois suggested that Fulcanelli was the pseudonym under which Jean-Julien Champagne, René Schwallet de Lubicz, and Pierre Dujols wrote.

Max Handel

Max Handel is one of the founders of modern astrology. He is one of the most famous mystics, esotericists and occultists of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. He is considered the founder of the Rosicrucian Brotherhood, which aimed to spread and develop its astrological teachings in the United States.

Max Handel and his entourage were distinguished by a kind and bright attitude towards each other, mental purity, thanks to which he gained many associates and followers. Handel and Helena Blavatsky are original classics of esotericism in the direction of theosophy.

The main life work of the esotericist was the book "The Cosmic Concept of the Rosicrucians, or Mystical Christianity (an elementary course on past evolution, the current structure and future development of man)".

In general, the essence of the book is quite fully described by the title. The knowledge set forth by Handel is strongly associated with the religious and scientific ideas of that time. He writes about the connection between God and man, the interaction of the invisible and visible worlds, about the scarcity biblical story, about the mission of Jesus Christ, cosmogenesis and other anthroposophical and theosophical issues.

Max Handel concluded that considering life from the point of view of the law of Rebirth (reincarnation) and the law of Consequence (determination of eternal existence in hell or paradise by earthly deeds) is the most harmonious and fair theory, combined with the facts of spiritual and physical life.

William Yeats

William Butler Yeats is one of the most famous European poets of the 20th century, the great Irish playwright, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature. Despite the fact that he is known to most as a writer, Yeats is one of the active occultists and mystics of the Foggy Albion of his years.

William's interest in the occult manifested itself in art school, when he thought of becoming a painter. There, the future Nobel laureate became acquainted with the famous poet George Russell, who was also interested in occult knowledge.

Together with several other members, they created the Hermetic Society, in which they studied Eastern religions and magic. For a short time, Yeats was a member of the Theosophical Society, but quickly left it, disillusioned.

Esoteric interest left a clear mark in the early work of the poet, where it is intertwined with neo-romanticism and Celtic folklore.

Aleister Crowley

Another representative of British literature, referring to the famous esotericists of his time. Unlike Yeats, Aleister Crowley was not just a poet interested in the occult - he was a practicing tarot reader, black magician and cabalist.

Moreover, he is called one of the brightest ideologists of Satanism and occultism of the XIX-XX centuries. His authorship belongs to the "Book of the Law", the teachings of Thelema, the Tarot of Thoth deck. Crowley was a member of various occult organizations: the Order of the Temple of the East, the Order of the Golden Dawn, the Silver Star. Among Crowley's less "black" hobbies were mountain climbing, astrology, and chess.

Around the age of twenty, Crowley became interested in mysticism, magic, occult knowledge and alchemy. At the age of 22, he was ill for a short time, seriously thought about the issues of death and the meaning of life, was disappointed that he had chosen a diplomatic career.

Crowley was a member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn from the age of 23, and Yeats and his friend Waite were his enemies, although they had great authority. In the novel Moonchild, the writer described the most famous esotericists of that time: Arthur Waite, Alan Bennett, Samuel Liddell Mathers. True, Alistair was disappointed in the abilities of the latter when the Golden Dawn broke up.

Crowley practiced Raja Yoga, wrote an essay on this topic called Berashit, in which he presented ceremonial magic as a means of strengthening the will, mentally focusing on the desired object. In Egypt, after conducting magical experiments, the writer founded the religious doctrine of Thelema. His main work is The Book of the Law.

Crowley's greatest esoteric fame was brought by the Thoth Tarot deck, which was created with the help of Frida Harris, an artist who studied Egyptian culture and history. The deck is very well thought out, literally imbued with symbolism, and the cards are also interconnected by astrological meaning. Most often, "Tarot Thoth" is used to predict fate.

Lee Carroll

Lee Carroll is a significant figure in contemporary esotericism. He calls himself a contactee and an occultist. Lee Carroll was the first to formulate and popularize the term "indigo children".

Esoteric interested him in middle age, when he turned to a psychic to get out of the crisis. He, in turn, introduced the client to many New Age esoteric teachings. Carroll claims that the psychic helped him understand the nature of the voice that he heard in his head since childhood.

In 1969, Caroll began popularizing channeling, a kind of communication method with an astral entity that talks to people through a voice in their head. This entity called itself Kryon to Carroll.

Much of the esoteric literature written by Lee talks about Kryon or is an interpretation of his messages. Carroll states that Kryon seeks to raise people to a higher energy level.

The author is known both among supporters and opponents of his teachings. So, in 1995 he was invited to speak in front of working group United Nations Society for Enlightenment and Transformation.

Alan Leo

William Frederick Allan, known under the pseudonym Alan Leo, was a British theosophist and popularizer of astrology. He is one of the most authoritative and famous astrologers of the last century.

In many ways, thanks to Leo, the metaphysical concepts of reincarnation and karma were introduced into astrology, which had previously been “dead” for three centuries.

Alan created the Astrological Lodge, whose task was to translate and disseminate astrological works in the Old and New Worlds.

Carl Gustav Jung

Carl Gustav Jung is recognized worldwide as a revolutionary psychologist, founder of analytical psychology. However, despite the direct relation to the scientific world, Jung was close to the occult.

Many modern researchers even note that Jung's analytical psychological theory intersects with the occult in many respects. It is believed that in many modern occult teachings "legs grow" from Jung's scientific ideas.

Carl Gustav Jung himself was a mystic, from childhood he came into contact with other worlds, because spiritualism was practiced in the house. The future scientist himself also arranged sessions, and his daughter later became a medium.

Jung pointed out in his memoirs that the dead come to him, make themselves known with a bell, and the whole family feels their invisible presence. He asked questions to the spiritual leader in his usual voice, but he himself reproduced the answers in a female falsetto.

True, one cannot equate Jungian views with modern ideas about magic and esotericism, since the scientist considered the spirit and mysticism from a different angle, being heavily immersed in psychological theory.

George Gurdjieff

George Gurdjieff - the famous esoteric of Greek-Armenian origin, a former subject Russian Empire. At the beginning of the 20th century, he was one of the most authoritative occultists in Eurasia. Even in his youth, Gurdjieff studied in great detail the culture, esoteric and cultural teachings of the peoples of Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, going there with expeditions. He was interested in the spiritual traditions of Christians, Sufis, Buddhists, as well as the ancient ritual knowledge of the peoples.

During his short stay in Moscow, he was able to gather students around him, publish a book, and take a trip. A small society of disciples was also organized in St. Petersburg.

In revolutionary times, Gurdjieff fled through the Caucasus, first to Turkey, then to Germany and France. He attempted to establish the "Institute for the Harmonious Development of Man" in present-day Tbilisi and Istanbul. Gurdjieff was not allowed into Great Britain by the authorities.

In the end, he bought the Prieuré estate near Paris and created an institute with him, along with a commune of followers and students. The institute was visited by those who were interested in the personality of the founder and his teachings from all over Europe, the USA and Russia.

Gurdjieff philosophy asserts that a person by nature cannot be fully developed, he is given only basic knowledge, and the achievement of perfection is possible only through personal efforts. But for development it is necessary to know oneself, which is inaccessible to most of the people.

Gurdjieff defines four main functions of life activity: instinctive, intellectual, motor and emotional; four states of consciousness: sleep, waking dream, relative awakening and full awakening.

In addition, he shared the innate essence and the personality acquired through imitation and imitation. The main thing, according to Gurdjieff, is to avoid the formation of a false personality due to unnatural tastes and habits, which prevents the disclosure of the essence.

Rudolf Steiner

Rudolf Steiner was a man of a wide range of interests, occupied simultaneously with philosophy, teaching, social reforms, occultism and mysticism. He was a practicing clairvoyant.

One of the most famous esotericists in Europe at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries. It is believed that from 1900 to 1924 he gave more than 6,000 lectures. He developed the scientific legacy of Goethe, and also spread esoteric Christian philosophy throughout Europe. Rudolf Steiner is considered the founder of the anthroposophical movement.

Rudolf Steiner was one of those esotericists who are trying to reconcile and unite the researchers of the supernatural with mainstream science. For some time he was a member of the Theosophical Society, but left it and founded the Anthroposophical Society, becoming a spiritual teacher in it.

In addition, he was the founder of the Swiss Society for Research in Oncology, the pedagogical methodology of the first Waldorf School, the anthroposophic therapeutic clinic, biodynamic agriculture, new trends in painting, architecture, and art.

Steiner already in his youth began to be interested in the unity of the spiritual and material worlds. In his writings, he analyzed and discussed the human essence in terms of spirit, soul and body, the path of spiritual perfection and discipleship, karma, reincarnation and the influence of spiritual events and decisions on historical events and the evolution of mankind.

The scientist believed that the cosmos is permeated with spiritual beings and non-physical processes that transform the Universe with their creative power.

Carlos Castaneda

Carlos Castaneda is a popular American mystic and esotericist, writer, and anthropologist. One of his main works is a 12-volume exposition of the teachings of a shaman from the Yaqui Indian tribe, don Juan Matus.

Despite the frequent use of the term "magic", Castaneda himself said that he meant by it teachings based on the knowledge of the Toltecs.

Despite the fact that Castaneda published his works as anthropological studies, the modern academic community tends to consider them more like works of art.

Castaneda's biography is filled with many facts that are difficult to confirm, because he himself did not support publicity, forbade photography and video filming during interviews, as well as voice recording. He explained this by the fact that don Juan's esotericism calls on a person not to allow himself to be fixed in any form, so as not to interfere with the principle of personality variability.

Vadim Zeland

Vadim Zeland is the anonymous author of the esoteric teaching "Reality Transurfing", available in many languages of the world in printed format and as a book. The Teaching reveals the idea of a multivariate world, where events take place in an infinite number of parallel spaces.

A person, according to the author, is able to independently "jump" from one space to another, due to mental concentration. In other words, Zeland helps a person to change fate in accordance with desires. He calls for an active perception of what is happening, participation in it.

The teaching was criticized by other esotericists, as well as representatives of the scientific and religious society. Vadim Zeland himself does not appear in public, on rare photos and video recordings, his face is hidden, the authenticity of the name has not been established.

We talk about the properties of books on esotericism and provide a list of the most popular.

This article is intended for persons over 18 years of age.

Are you over 18 already?

Esoteric literature is a completely separate branch of literature in general, which contains the knowledge and practice of the peoples of the world. Often books on esotericism become real helpers on life path. They teach self-development and help everyone to know themselves. The world of the unknown always attracts others, therefore esotericism has always been and will be a sought-after material for study. At the familiarization stage, books for beginners will become interesting, which, like the alphabet, will become a guide to esotericism. Many magical sites offer lists of references, but we will get acquainted with only a few of them.

What are esoteric books for?

A detailed study of any subject requires a whole arsenal of "helpers": videos, letters, memoirs, practices and books. Now esoteric literature is in no less demand than detectives and business literature. In books, masters teach beginners their techniques, describing in detail the result and their own feelings from the process. These secrets help ordinary life, because knowing what others do not know is already a huge driving force. Information about the existence of which you did not even suspect will become completely open to you.

Numerous esoteric books include the following sections:

  • palmistry;
  • astrology;
  • numerology;
  • healing;
  • healing herbs;
  • Card reading;
  • spiritual practices.

In addition, you can learn the psychology of persuasion or, for example, reality transerfing. What it is is well described in Vadim Zeland's book "Reality Transurfing".

These practices will help in relaxing the body and approaching self-knowledge. Esoteric works will teach you to look at things from a different angle and perceive information the way you need. This is a way out of the ordinary, and for some, a completely new path.

The word "esoteric" frightens and alarms many. However, mystical teachings are quite popular in the modern world. There are many interesting books that will let you know more about this.

Literature on yoga and quackery can also be considered partly esoteric, it's just that these concepts have long entered our lives. They can help people both morally and physically. For example, Louise Hay, a well-known psychologist, describes in her book how her own consciousness helped her in the fight against cancer. Her experience helped many people who stopped believing in themselves. No matter what problem you had to face, the approach to it and the hope for a positive solution is important. In "Heal Your Life" Heal your body. The power is within us” describes in detail the techniques to teach the subconscious mind to work in the right direction. These popular methods also help to cope with clinical depression when it seems impossible to even get out of bed. All these books try to convey one simple truth: our consciousness can change everything. You can be treated with the most expensive medicines, but tune in to failure, or you can heal yourself from the inside.

There are also new thoughts that show the author's attitude to already familiar phenomena, such as love, kindness and mercy. So, the writer Klaus Joel believes that love is not just a feeling, but a real source of energy. In The Messenger. A true story about love ”, it is described in great detail and in an accessible way. Where to find your own source, the author will tell on the pages of the work.

Another undoubted favorite in educational reading was the book "The Way of the Peaceful Warrior", written by Dan Millman. A work about strength, power over your fears, positive thinking and self-improvement has become a reference book for many. The book encourages to act, starting today, and not to postpone life until later. It is very quick and easy to read, because it is written in simple human language.

Previously, it was believed that effective methods contain only banned books, but this is only a common misconception. Now all the bestsellers on this topic are full of master classes and practical tutorials that you can implement on your own. It is best to purchase a real paper book rather than downloading it electronically. The fact is that the book itself becomes a talisman, a faithful assistant. The exercises are much better than when working with the online version. Your development and acquisition of knowledge directly depends on this.

Beginning esotericists and magicians often ask themselves the question: how to develop their skills correctly? Not everyone can find a worthy honest mentor. Not everyone realizes that the best mentor is ourselves. In this case, you need to set the right direction with the help of books. The list below will help everyone discover something new. These are works worth thinking about, so you need to read them meaningfully. It is not necessary to start several books on practice at once, because this will not give positive results. Our rating is based on numerous reviews. Let's get to know him!

Introduction.

I am starting a hit parade - Top 10 most schizoid esoteric teachings, the topic of the hit parade is the most famous, stupid, absurd, controversial, funny esoteric teachings that arose in the 20th and 21st centuries. I do not set myself the task of a detailed analysis of these teachings, since this is not the format of this article, in this work I have only briefly outlined these esoteric teachings, placing them from 1 to 10 in reverse order. I send the interested reader to the primary sources, critical articles, books, films written and filmed about these teachings.
Also, I do not pretend to be unambiguous, those readers who know other absurd esoteric teachings, I suggest that they create their own top 10, I think it will be interesting for me and they to compare their top 10 with mine and vice versa.
Perhaps in the future, if this article receives approval from readers, I will continue this topic with a more detailed analysis, and maybe with other esoteric teachings.
And now...
I'm starting the Top 10 Most Schizoid Esoteric Teachings!

10th place. Ufology.

Aliens, UFOs, aliens, little green men, ufologists have been puzzling over this for more than a decade. And the questions remain open, there are about 35 hypotheses of the origin of UFOs, hundreds of photographs, videos, eyewitnesses around the world. At present, the problem of what a UFO is has not yet been resolved. For its longevity and the number of hypotheses, ufology takes the 10th place in my hit parade of the most schizoid esoteric teachings.

9th place. Siberia will save humanity or in search of a new "Ark" M. Rechkin.

There are many teachings in esotericism about the upcoming end of the world, one of the most schizoid was presented by the writer Mikhail Rechkin in a series of books Siberia will save mankind, he writes: “People will die either from ignorance of the true world, or from the inability to use the forces of nature,” writes Rechkin, he continues: "there is a high probability that this is where the new" land ark "of mankind is located."
Rechkin proposes to go the way to the ark through spiritual insight and return to the true origins of the Great Universal Knowledge - the legacy of our ancestors! Rechkin's theory of the end of the world took 9th place in my hit parade of the most schizoid esoteric teachings.

8th place. Teachings of V. A. Shemshuk.

Vladimir Alekseevich Shemshuk - writer, biologist, researcher, former director of the Ural Roerich Foundation and the Perm Commission on Anomalous Phenomena. In his numerous books, he propagates that creatures from folklore works actually existed, including the same Baba Yaga. “The dawn and rebirth of Mankind,” writes Shemshuk, “will begin from the very moment when, among people, first of all, every inhabitant of Russia realizes himself as a messenger of Paradise and protects himself from objects, food and bad habits that carry the destructive frequencies of hell. It is when people, without waiting for instructions from above, restore creative rhythms in their lives, Russia will turn into the Savior of Humanity, returning Paradise to Earth.” The theory of folklore beings and the rebirth of mankind through Paradise, took 8th place in my hit parade of the most schizoid esoteric teachings.

7th place. The teaching of the ascension of the masters.

The teachings of the ascended masters have their roots in theosophy, and "ascended masters" are those whom theosophists call "Masters of Wisdom", believing in their existence. The teaching originated in 1930, when Guy Ballard, according to him, unexpectedly met on Mount Shasta with a man who introduced himself to him as Count Saint Germain, one of the Masters who were introduced to the world by Theosophy after the departure of Helena Blavatsky. According to Ballard, Saint Germain told him that he belonged to the Brotherhood of the Ascended Masters, which also includes Jesus, Buddha, Maitreya, and El Morya, among others. The teachings given by Saint Germain to Ballard became the foundation of the I AM religious movement. They were published by Ballard under the pseudonym Godfrey Ray King in such works as The Secrets Revealed and The Magical Presence.
El Morya is also believed to have played an important role in other organizations associated with the Ascended Master Teachings (in which El Morya is also known as "The Chohan of the First Ray") based on Ballard's work. Geraldine Inosant, founder of Bridge to Freedom, claimed to have received messages from El Morya (they were originally published under the name of Thomas Prince; Mark and Elizabeth Prophet stated that El Morya encouraged them to found the Summit Lighthouse, etc. etc. .p. This myth-making - the Teaching of the ascension of the lords took the 7th place in my hit parade.

6th place. Teaching Diagnostics of karma S. Lazarev.

Sergey Lazarev is the author of a series of pseudoscientific books "Diagnosis of Karma" and "Man of the Future".
Since the beginning of the 1990s, 12 books by S. N. Lazarev of the Karma Diagnostics series, 7 books of the Man of the Future series, and 6 books Karma Diagnostics (second series) have been published. Survival experience. 6 books from the series "Diagnosis of Karma", "The First Step into the Future" and "Parental Education, Part 1" from the "Man of the Future" series have been translated into German. Some of the books have been translated into Polish, Czech, Spanish, English and Bulgarian. In parallel, videos of lectures and seminars are sold. in his books, S. N. Lazarev tries to trace a causal relationship between a person’s worldview and his mental and physical health, as well as the events that happen to him.
S. N. Lazarev claims that by accumulating love for God in oneself, one can be cured of any disease, including AIDS and cancer. The author claims that he cured himself of melanoma.
Based on the developed author's method of "seeing the field structures" of a person, which, according to S. N. Lazarev, make up 97-98% of the information and energy layers of the subconscious, using the concept of Indian philosophy and religion "karma" and the Christian dogma "God is love" , the author substantiates his system by introducing such a concept as a "hook" - a subconscious dependence on material and moral values, as well as feelings and emotions.
Based on these three provisions, S. N. Lazarev deduces the idea that all illnesses and misfortunes of a person are a consequence of negative karma, which is the “deep character of a person”, his “hooking” for certain benefits (both material and spiritual). Such benefits, according to the author, can be: heightened justice, ambition (“hook” for management - pride), worries because of the desire to have a family, children (hooks for desires - jealousy) and others. That is, when "love for God" fades into the background, calling it the wrong prioritization in life.
Lazarev's concepts are criticized by representatives of science. So, responding to a request from the Moscow Committee of Education, Vice-Rector of MIPKRO, Ph.D. n. V. A. Noskin notes the absolutely pseudoscientific nature of Lazarev’s theories.
As part of the consideration of the scientific status of S. Lazarev's theory, the staff of the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences noted that the concepts of healing based on the use of energy from the other world are incompatible with the scientific picture of the world underlying modern medicine.
Lazarev's activity often becomes the object of criticism of the anti-cult movement, religious figures. The Russian Association of Centers for the Study of Religion and Sects (RATSIRS) lists the movement of S. N. Lazarev (“Diagnostics of Karma”) among the most famous destructive totalitarian sects and groups with a significant number of signs of such, as well as occult centers and movements.
In the encyclopedic reference book "New Russian religious organizations of a destructive, occult and neo-pagan nature" (2002), S. N. Lazarev is included in group 2 - Destructive religious organizations and religious groups of the class "Ecology of the spirit, occultism and occult healing", to subgroups O-5 "Pseudo-medical groups and occult healers" and subgroup O-4 "Occult centers" (as part of the "Association of Applied Parapsychology"). The teachings of Sergei Lazarev, for their occult medical nature, took the 6th place in my hit parade of the most schizoid esoteric teachings.

5th place. The Teaching of the Fourth Way by G. Gudjiev.

Man is a machine, Georgy Gudzhiev wrote, he also created the theory of the Fourth Way. Gurzhdiev also said that a person has an essence (everything that is real with which he is born) and personality (everything artificial that he acquires by imitation and imitation). In essence, all people are divided into seven main psychological types, each of which has strictly defined appearance features. Explaining this idea in one of his groups, Gurdjieff said: “Each of you has probably met people of the same type in your life. Such people often even outwardly resemble each other, and their internal reactions are exactly the same. What pleases one will please another; What one doesn't like, another won't like. You must be mindful of such cases, because it is only by meeting types that one can learn the science of types. There is no other method. Everything else is imagination. You must understand that in the conditions in which you live, it is impossible to meet more than six or seven types, although there are twelve basic types in life. The rest is their combinations. Gurdjieff did not give a complete description of human types. The adventurous teachings of Gudjiev took the 5th place in my hit parade.

4th place. Reality transfer by Vadim Zeland.

Reality Transurfing is an esoteric teaching published by Vadim Zeland since 2004 in the book series of the same name. Supporting the idea of a multivariant world, in which events take place in an infinite number of spaces simultaneously, the author describes the teaching as a technique for moving from one “branches” of reality to another due to the concentration of the energy of a person’s thoughts, consciously directed towards the implementation of one or another variant of the development of events. The stated practical meaning of the teaching, as the author claims, is that a person, having established conscious control over his intentions and his attitude to the world, can freely choose the option of developing reality as he wishes. More precisely, each person in any case chooses his own reality, based on his worldview, and it is thus to a decisive extent his (mediated) reflection; however, with most people, this happens involuntarily. Almost nothing is known about the author V. Zeland himself, who he is and how he came to all this. Reality transfer took 4th place in my hit parade of the most schizoid esoteric teachings.

3rd place. Teachings of Urantia.

The Urantia Doctrine (Urantia Book) is an esoteric teaching, where in the form of a religious revelation it tells about the nature of God, cosmology, the origin and destiny of mankind, a detailed biography of Jesus Christ and his teachings is presented. The Urantia Book was first published in Chicago (USA) in October 1955 on English language. Its authorship is the subject of speculation. The appearance of the book is associated with the activities of the American psychiatrist William Sadler.
The book served as the basis for the Urantia Fellowship, an esoteric religious movement influenced by Helena Blavatsky's theosophy and James Churchward's theory of lost civilizations.
By 2010 it was translated into 9 other languages, including Russian. According to the Urantia Association International, there are readers and followers of The Urantia Book in 56 countries.
The definition of The Urantia Book as genuine revelation has been criticized for several reasons. Skeptics such as Martin Gardner argue that the Book was written by humans and is not a revelation because it contradicts scientific evidence and adheres to many outdated and rejected positions of the time.
Christian theologians, speaking from counter-cult positions, deny the authenticity of The Urantia Book, since it contradicts many dogmas of Christianity and contains a number of plots that are absent in the Bible itself or impossible from a Christian point of view.
Other critics have pointed out that The Urantia Book is over 2,000 pages long, twice the size of the King James Bible, and is long, complex, and confusing. The Urantia Book took 3rd place on my hit parade.

2nd place. Teachings of Anastasia V. Megre.

Do young girls live in the taiga? Vladimir Megre, the author of the Ringing Cedars of Russia series of books, or the Teachings of Anastasia, is sure of this. The teaching of Anastasia is a near-religious teaching, similar in format to a sect or "new age", which arose on the territory of Russia and a number of post-Soviet countries at the end of the 20th century, after the collapse of the USSR.
The cornerstone of the teaching is the book series by Vladimir Megre - "The Ringing Cedars of Russia". According to rough estimates, the teaching has in its composition from 100 to 500 thousand people.
The “Teaching” exploits the ideas of greening life that were relevant at the end of the 20th century; simultaneous removal from technocratic excesses - with the hope of the existence of "simple and cheap sources of unlimited energy" (for example, "home nuclear reactors”), the dream of owning a plot of land with a predominantly subsistence economy, hopes for the creation of a society aimed at organizing a conflict-free coexistence of man and nature.
There are several levels of learning. At the first stage, the idea of building so-called "family estates" is being promoted. The next one is the philosophical component, based on an eclectic mixture of disparate elements of Blavatsky's Theosophy, Christianity, Buddhism and, to a lesser extent, Islam. One of the key concepts of the teaching, for example, is a cryptohistory similar to Fomenko's "New Chronology".
It should be noted that, among other things, this literary source is written in a completely illogical, deliberately absurd style. Its success is largely dictated by effects similar to those found in the work of the mentally ill. That is, the plot is so absurd, the presentation is so pathologically illogical that it causes painful attraction. In addition - "according to the precepts" of Goebbels, "the more lies, the more they believe in it." Thus, the reader's ability to a healthy, critical perception of the text is extinguished. Such moments as the origin of UFOs from "kombucha", or Anastasia's life under the care of a she-bear, which acts in particular as Anastasia's personal hygiene products, licking up all her secretions (we apologize for the physiological details) - simply paralyze the reader's common sense. Nevertheless, even having fallen into a state of increased suggestibility and rapport in relation to Megre, a person cannot get rid of the accumulated experience and baggage of his knowledge. There is an effect of a permanent stress state of cognitive dissonance. In the medium term, almost guaranteed to lead to the most devastating consequences for the psyche. Most often, participation in this movement ends for a person with various forms of schizophrenia. Here are a few quotes from Maigret's books: “A person in a state of love emits radiation. In a fraction of a second, reflected from the planets above it, it again reaches the Earth and gives life to all living things ... The Sun is one of the planets that reflects an incomplete spectrum of this radiation ... "" Darkness comes from a person in a state of evil feelings. radiation. Dark radiation cannot rise up and falls deep into the Earth. Reflected from the bowels, it returns to the surface in the form of volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, wars ... "
The teachings of Anastasia V. Megre took the 2nd place of the most schizoid esoteric teachings.

1 place. Rose of the World D. Andreeva.

Daniil Leonidovich Andreev is the author of the religious and philosophical book "Rose of the World". Some consider his work unique. However, what exactly is unique about it? To what extent did the author adequately perceive the information he received from somewhere out there? When writing the Rose of the World, Daniil Andreev was in the Vladimir prison, the conditions there were by no means humane. After his release, Andreev died a year later, having managed to finish his book.
The Rose of the World itself is written in a very difficult language with a huge number of unknown terms invented by the author, strange ideas about the universe. At the same time, there is reason to doubt Andreev's mental health. Life in prison could not but affect the psyche of Daniil Andreev, including his supposedly mystical experience, receiving information from somewhere outside.
What happened to Andreev can be explained by the peculiarity of his creative personality, and secondly, it has long been proven that the human brain can easily produce various images, including hallucinatory ones, Richard Dawkins in his book God as an Illusion writes:
“The human brain is amazingly adept at building models. If this happens during sleep, we call them dreams; during wakefulness - by imagination or, if it is played out too strongly, by hallucinations.
At the same time, Andreev himself treated his information received as completely reliable without a share of criticism: “But I am not writing on my own and cannot make changes until this is indicated by the only Voice that I trust completely.” This gives me one more reason to doubt the objectivity of the information he receives. That is, it can be argued that there was no analysis of the information that Daniil Andreev received is not clear from where with the help of this very “voice”. Because of this, it is impossible not to avoid serious delusions if Andreev is fully trusted, and I think the author himself was mistaken propagating his mystical views. There is reason to believe that Andreev, who already had a predisposition to mysticism at the same time as a schizophrenic disorder, interpreted it as a “transphysical experience” at every opportunity: “In February 1932, during my short-term service at one of the Moscow factories, I fell ill and at night, in the heat, I gained some experience, in which, of course, the majority will see nothing but delirium, but for me - terrifying in its content and unconditional in its persuasiveness. The being concerned by this experience, I have designated in my books and designate here by the expression "the third Witzraor!".
Daniil Andreev describes many ideas that can be classified as a manifestation of overvalued and which can be attributed to a manifestation of schizophrenia:
“In this reunion of Christian denominations and in the further union of all religions of the Light for the sake of the general concentration of all forces on the improvement of mankind and on spiritualization, the nature of the Rose of the world sees its supra-religiousness and interreligiousness.”
"The Rose of the World brings about a new attitude to nature, to history, to the destinies of human cultures, to their tasks, to creativity, to love, to the paths of cosmic ascent, to the consistent enlightenment of Shandanakar."
“... The rose of the world is not the religious teaching of the past. It is the religious and socio-ethical teaching of the future.”
“And from Gotimna of India I was transferred to Gotima of Russia: there my preparation for the fulfillment of the mission that was accepted by my Self was to be completed.”
“The total number of inhabitants of Heavenly Russia is unknown to me, but I know that about half a million enlightened ones are now in the Heavenly Kremlin.”
"The Church is the higher worlds of Shandanakar"
You can continue for a long time, Andreev has a huge amount of similar crazy phrases and sophisticated frankly invented words in his “frank” book, he himself admits:
“Let anyone who wants to laugh at this message. And I don’t have to get used to the reputation of a madman. ”
"Rose of the World" by Daniil Andreev took 1st place in my hit parade of the 10 most schizoid esoteric teachings.

Mysterious spiritual teacher. Even in the Greek-Armenian family with the group "Seekers of Truth" he went to the East to find the surviving ancient knowledge there. Traveled in Persia, Tibet, Outer Mongolia. Then he began to gather around himself students, whom by very original methods he helped to get rid of the superficial perception of the world, to find the true system of values. All this was supposed to lead, according to his plan, to the renewal of life as a whole.

Jiddu Krishnamurti is an Indian youth who from childhood was distinguished by a philosophical mindset. Subsequently, to study in London and became a member of the Theosophical circle. He created his own system, became the head of the Order of the Star of the East, published many philosophical works in which he explained his views on the picture of the world. Society enthusiastically proclaimed him the "savior of the West", but he clearly did not want to be one.

Daniil Andreev - the son of the Russian writer Leonid Andreev, the monumental work "Rose of the World", in which he described his visionary experience. The book explains the problems of cosmology, puts forward the theory of egregors and elementals, touches upon the multidimensionality of space and time, confirms the existence of a higher cosmic mind.

Pavel Florensky is a Russian priest and thinker. Religion and philosophy are inextricably merged in his teaching. He left behind a lot of works that everyone who wants to know what esotericism, religion, philosophy should read. The concept of the Radiant Eye, the middle of the Divine Triangle, was central to his teaching.

Rudolf Steiner - the doctrine of anthroposophy, published many works. He believed that the main thing is to awaken the spiritual forces hidden in a person.

Peter Donov is a Bulgarian spiritual teacher. He created the esoteric school "White Brotherhood" (not to be confused with the totalitarian sect of the same name). The training began with the basics of Christianity, helping people to combine their feelings and thoughts with cosmic rhythms. His technique was called paneurythmy. With its help, the initiates opened a special, spiritual vision.

Edward Crowley is a magician and esoteric. Graduated from Cambridge, traveled around Asia. Founded the Order of the Silver Star. He claimed that during a visit to Cairo, the voice of extraterrestrial intelligence told him that a new era of humanity was coming. Crowley was a strong psychic and said that any conscious action of a person is magic, because it also has a second, invisible plane.

Bhagwan Shri Rajneesh, or Osho, is an Indian teacher who himself called himself "the wrong mystic." He has been a rebel since childhood. And all his subsequent life he put the personal experience of the truth higher than all borrowed knowledge, teachings, beliefs. At the age of 21, he received enlightenment and began to bring his unique meditation techniques to the world. Subsequently, a commune of like-minded people was organized around him.
