The end of the school year is not far off. Eleventh-graders are preparing to graduate from school and enter universities. And, of course, everyone is waiting for their final marks in the certificate. Let's see what rules they should be exposed to.

Knowing how grades are given in the certificate for grade 11 in 2020 is very useful. It's simple: schoolchildren (and their parents) should know their rights and what regulations these rights are enshrined in. Such knowledge will help in controversial (and even conflict) situations with teachers or school administration.

For example, a teacher threatens a graduate that a triple in the last semester in a subject automatically means a triple in the certificate, regardless of what grades the student had before. Of course, we will argue with such a teacher. But how much easier it is to argue when there is reliance on laws!

How grades are displayed in the certificate in grade 11

There is a special document on this topic - Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia dated February 14, 2014 No. 115 “On approval of the Procedure for filling out, recording and issuing certificates of basic general and secondary general education and them”. This Order was changed in 2017, we will consider the rules in its new edition.

The document unequivocally states the following:

“The final grades for grade 11 are determined as arithmetic mean of semi-annual and annual marks of a student for each year of study according to the educational program of secondary general education and are put in the certificate in whole numbers in accordance with the rules of mathematical rounding.

You see, everything is simple: marks in the certificate in the 11th grade are calculated according to the mathematical rules for obtaining the arithmetic mean. The teacher takes all the grades from previous years in this subject and draws the result.

There is one caveat: this is how marks are determined for schoolchildren who studied on a general basis, that is, they went to school. If the child received education on his own (at home, as an external student, etc.), then for him the derivation of grades in the certificate of 2020 should be done according to other rules. In this case, grades are assigned based on the midterm assessment that the school conducts for such a student in all general education subjects.

It is interesting that the final marks for the 9th grade (also graduation) are not set at all like that. For the Russian language, mathematics and two subjects that are chosen by the student, this is determined as the arithmetic mean of the annual and examination marks. Simply put, the annual + is taken and the average is displayed. And for all other subjects, the final grade is just an annual grade.

In principle, this is all that is required about how to put marks in the certificate for grade 11 in 2020. But linger and find out a few more interesting points about how the certificate is filled out according to the rules.

What else do you need to know

Firstly, all grades in the certificate must be written in numbers and in words. It is clear that in this version it becomes almost impossible to remake (read fake) the assessment: if the figure can still be corrected, then the word “good” can not be changed to “excellent” 🙂

Secondly, the graduation document does not indicate the form of education: full-time, external, family, and so on. All certificates are the same in this respect.

Thirdly, By order of the Ministry of Education, even the size and format of the font used to print documents are regulated - Times New Roman 11.

Fourth, final grades affect .

There are also a list of acceptable abbreviations for item names, here it is:

  • Informatics and ICT - Informatics;
  • Physical culture - Physical education;
  • World art culture - MHK;
  • Fine Arts - Fine Arts;
  • Fundamentals of life safety - OBZH.

All other items must be named in full, without any abbreviations or abbreviations.

Well, of course, no corrections and erasures in the certificate are allowed. All forms with errors are considered damaged and must be replaced by the school administration.

4. Certificates are issued to graduates of grades IX and XI (XII) by those educational institutions in which they passed the state (final) certification, based on the decision of the pedagogical council of the educational institution.

Certificates are issued to graduates no later than ten days after the date of issuance of the order on their graduation from an educational institution and the issuance of certificates

On May 25, the “last bell” rings in all schools in the Kaluga Region, followed by the final final exams, after successfully passing which the 2017 graduate will receive the coveted school certificate - a document that opens a bright path to adult independent life.

The certificate is one of the main documents attached to the application for admission to any educational institution. It is issued after the end of 9th or 11th grade, depending on when exactly the student decided to leave school. And there is nothing surprising in the fact that the news, announced just a few days before the end of the school year, excited both students and parents of 11-graders. It turned out that grades in the certificate in 2017 will be set according to a new principle.

How grades are given in the certificate for the 11th grade in 2017

If last year only two grades were taken into account - annual grades for grades 10 and 11, now a kind of “rule of six” has come into force. This year, the final grade in the certificate in a particular subject will also depend on semi-annual grades.

It is calculated like this:

Grades for two semesters in grade 10 are added up - an annual grade for grade 10 is obtained. Grades for two semesters of grade 11 are also added up - an annual grade for grade 11 is obtained. Thus, in total, 6 marks are obtained, which are also added up, and their sum is divided by 6 (according to the number of marks), that is, the arithmetic average is displayed based on the results of grades 10 and 11. If the number is not a whole number, it is rounded in favor of the student.

It must be said that the teachers themselves admit that the new grading system is more objective than the previous one. However, it dealt a sudden blow to those students who, in their last year of study, struggled to “pull up their tails” so that the grades in the certificate were “beautiful”. Of course, solid knowledge will remain with such prospectors, but formally it turns out that they tried in vain: the certificate is still hopelessly “spoiled”.

The “culprit” of various changes in the rules for grading the certificate was the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation dated January 9, 2017 N 3 “On Amendments to the Procedure for Filling in, Recording and Issuing Certificates of Basic General and Secondary General Education and Their Duplicates, approved by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation dated February 14, 2014 N 115”.

The procedure for grading in the certificate of basic general education (for the 9th grade) in 2017

When filling out a certificate of basic general education, the final marks in the Russian language, mathematics and two elective subjects are determined as the arithmetic mean of the graduate's annual and examination marks, the result is rounded up to a whole number.

That is, with marks for the year "5" and for the exam "5", of course, "five" will go to the certificate. If the exam is passed on "3", and the annual mark is "4", the average score is 3.5, and after rounding the certificate will be "four".

Some nuances arise if the final exam is passed with a "deuce". The test will have to be passed again, and the calculations will be performed based on the results of the retake.
Example: the annual grade is "4", and the exam was passed with a "two". But during the retake, the student managed to get as many as five points (with good preparation, such miracles are quite possible). We consider: 4 + 5 (the deuce received at the first attempt is not taken into account) divided by 2 = 4.5. After rounding, a full-fledged "five" is obtained, and it is she who should go to the certificate.

Quarter or semester (given at the end of the first and second academic semester) grades are not taken into account in the calculations. The final marks for the 9th grade in other academic subjects are set on the basis of the graduate's annual mark.

Does the result of passing the exam affect the assessment in the certificate

Another topical question asked this year by graduates and parents is Will the USE result affect the grade in the certificate??

Previously, it was not reflected in the certificate. But this year, the so-called unified assessment scale is being introduced: the points obtained when passing the exam in the subject will affect the grade in the certificate. For example, if a high school student passed the Unified State Exam-2017 in social studies with a “troika”, and at the end of the academic year he has “five” for this discipline, then the final grade, which will go to the certificate, will be “four”.

Although, it is worth noting that .

The certificate is one of the main documents attached to the application for admission to any educational institution. It is issued after the end of 9th or 11th grade, depending on when exactly the student decided to leave school.

When will the certificate for the 9th grade be issued in 2018?

Graduation in the ninth grade is held at the request of students and parents, be sure to give a certificate of completion of the 9th grade before the start of the evening, then you can not participate in the festive event if there is no desire, and you can pick up the certificate a little earlier or later. Graduation party for the ninth grade in 2018 will be held from June 23 to 25, the dates are different due to football matches as part of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

When will the certificate for the 11th grade be issued in 2018?

First you need to pass the exam in the main period, get a certificate and send an application for admission to the university. Checking the results of the exam is sometimes delayed, the last exam in literature or physics is passed on June 20, 2018, about a week more to check and the results will be ready no earlier than June 30, and the admission of documents to the university in 2018 begins on June 20.

A graduate receives a certificate of completion of the eleventh grade at the graduation party. The original certificate is submitted to the university, copies of the certificate can be submitted to the other four universities, the selection committee checks the results of the exam itself in its database.

Graduation party in Russia in 2018 due to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia will be held on June 23-25, 2018 and a certificate will be issued during the gala evening.

What does the certificate for the 9th grade affect?

A certificate of completion of incomplete secondary general education is issued after receiving the results of the OGE, according to which the student and his parents decide whether to go to tenth grade or go to college.

If you do not plan to complete 11th grade, a certificate after 9th grade is very important in the future. Of course, you can get a job without education at all, but it will be an unskilled job, what if you decide to go to study in two years, without a certificate to continue your studies, they will not take it. And if you continue studying at school, then the certificate will remain as a keepsake, it is interesting to remember how you studied, what you studied ... Therefore, in case of damage, you will receive a duplicate of the certificate.

Do I need a certificate for grade 9 if there is a certificate for grade 11?

Grades in the certificate for the eleventh grade are set as the arithmetic mean for the grades in the quarters in the 10th and 11th grades, the grades in the certificate for the 9th grade do not affect the grades in the certificate for the 11th grade. For admission to a university, the original certificate for the 11th grade and the results of the USE are required, so you can keep the certificate for the 9th grade just as a keepsake, and if you lose it, you can not restore it.
